This quote means that if you want something really bad and you can get it now, then you should scarifice for, work hard for until you can get that thing that you wanted for your time. But, for another example, if you want something so baddly and you can not get it because you cant or you are just out of the limit for that item, then that means that you you should not sacrifice for it because it is not worth it right now and it will just be a waste of your time.
