This quote means that if you are not obedient to others that are your elders, then that means that you are a bad person and that you are choosing the wrong. And obedience is the primary object between others because if you are not obedient and you are disrespectful to others, then that means that you are not going to be friendly to others. But, if you are friendly to others and if you are obedient to others, then that means that you are a good person and you have obedience towards your elders and others that respect you as one.
